Piston ring set for two cylinder John Deere 70 gas and 70 LPG for 5 7/8 STD or +. This is a 10 ring set for both cylinders. Eight compression rings at 1/8" wide and two oil rings at 1/4" wide. All rings are plain cast iron for a fast break in and will conform to worn cylinders. Please note that the bore diameter is 5 7/8" (5.875") and will not fit the later 6 1/8" pistons used in the later 70S or 70H or 720 gas or 730 or any of the diesel tractors or tractors with over sized pistons or those using the 6.0" diameter bore size. This set is no longer available from Hastings or Deere and is offered only in STD or plus 0.045" over size bore diameter of 5 7/8". Please check first to see which one you need before ordering. Measure the skirt end of the piston. It should be either a few thousandths smaller than 5 7/8" for STD or a few thousandths less than 5.920" for the +. You can also look inside the piston for a part number which should look like a "F" and 4 or 5 numbers and a "R" on the ends.
